LVM command 'lvconvert' no longer allows you to mirror a striped origin to with --stripes and --stripesize specified

Issue

  • When attempting to mirror a striped-origin volume and specify stripes and stripe-size at the destination, getting errors:

    $ lvconvert -m 1 --type mirror --stripes 4 -I 16M --mirrorlog core /dev/VolGroup01/LogVol01 /dev/sdi /dev/sdj /dev/sdk /dev/sdl
Command does not accept option: --stripes 8.
Command does not accept option: --stripesize 16M.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.4
  • lvm2-2.02.169-1 and newer
