While scheduling packages to install using System Set Manager (SSM), irrelevant packages get scheduled to all systems.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Unexpected packages are installed during update applied to a group of systems.
  • If we schedule package1 to system1 and package2 to system2 using SSM then package1 and package2 get scheduled to both systems.
  • If multiple errata scheduled for multiple systems from SSM, all errata's gets scheduled for each selected system instead of the respected Red Hat Enterprise Linux system.
For ex: Errata for RHEL5 is selected for update and the list of selected system have RHEL5 & RHEL6 clients, then the errata will get scheduled for both cleints instead of only RHEL5 clients.

Environment
