[Satellite-5.8] Postgres service failed to start after upgradation.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • After upgrading the Satellite to 5.8, the PostgreSQL service failed to start if SELinux is enabled on the Satellite server.
  • Hitting the below error while upgrading the Satellite server,
*** Upgrading embedded database.
Could not connect to the database.  Your connection information may be incorrect.  Error: DBI connect('dbname=rhnschema','rhnuser',...) failed: could not connect to server: No such file or directory
        Is the server running locally and accepting
        connections on Unix domain socket "/tmp/.s.PGSQL.5432"? at /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl/Spacewalk/Setup.pm line 1728
