lpfcdfc module not loading at boot on RHEL 4 U4
Environment
- Red Hat Enterplise Linux (RHEL) 4 U4
Issue
- lpfcdfc module not loading at boot time
Resolution
- Add "modprobe lpfdfc" to rc.local so the module will be loaded on boot.
Root Cause
- According to the RHEL4 U4 release notes the lpfcdfc module will not automatically load, and needs to be manually loaded.
Diagnostic Steps
- Fixed modprobe.conf and rebuilt initrd, module still would not load on boot.
