The command "yum list-security" doesn't retrieve any updates

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5

Issue

  • The command 'yum list-security' does not retrieve any updates.

Resolution

  • Clean the yum cache as given below:
rm -rfv /var/cache/yum/*
yum clean all

Now run command 'yum list-security' again to retrieve the updates.

# yum list-security

  • yum
