Why following error "system-config-network[xx]: Error: XXX not in DeviceFactory!" are seen in system log file ?
Issue
- System's
/var/log/messagesfile has many logs as shown below ;
Jun 27 02:04:24 HOSTNAME system-config-network[6590]: Error: Vlan not in DeviceFactory!
Jun 27 02:04:24 HOSTNAME system-config-network[6590]: Error: Bond not in DeviceFactory!
Jun 28 02:08:38 HOSTNAME system-config-network[18142]: Error: Vlan not in DeviceFactory!
Jun 28 02:08:38 HOSTNAME system-config-network[18142]: Error: Vlan not in DeviceFactory!
Jun 28 02:08:38 HOSTNAME system-config-network[18142]: Error: Vlan not in DeviceFactory!
Jun 28 02:08:38 HOSTNAME system-config-network[18142]: Error: Bond not in DeviceFactory!
Jun 29 02:03:25 HOSTNAME system-config-network[8399]: Error: Vlan not in DeviceFactory!
- What is the reason for generation of such messages and how to avoid it ?
