RHEV : Engine concurrent tasks fill up the storage

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Storage domain free space goes low when concurrent tasks are running.
  • If multiple snapshot operations are running, the disks end up in Illegal state.
  • CriticalSpaceActionBlocker doesn't seize the engine from stopping a running task to avoid filling up the Storage Domain free space.
  • From the Engine.log:

2017-07-05 00:24:37,209-04 ERROR [org.ovirt.engine.core.dal.dbbroker.auditloghandling.AuditLogDirector] (DefaultQuartzScheduler7) [] EVENT_ID: IRS_DISK_SPACE_LOW_ERROR(201), Correlation ID: null, Call Stack: null, Custom Event ID: -1, Message: Critical, Low disk space. master-iscsi-SD domain has 2 GB of free space.
