Issue

  • A screen resolution specified by video=efifb:width:X,height:Y boot parameter is active for the initial part of the boot but later has no effect.
  • The issue is observed with some video cards, for example, mgag200 which when booting in UEFI mode is initially seen by the kernel as being controlled by the efifb driver.
