Are wildcards allowed in security settings role permissions ?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • We have some addresses we want to allow any role certain permissions, rather than create a generic role which will end up having a massive list of users in for this purpose is it possible to set a wildcard?

Something like:

     <security-setting match="testqueue">
        <permission roles="*" type="createDurableQueue"/>
        <permission roles="*" type="deleteDurableQueue"/>
        <permission roles="*" type="createNonDurableQueue"/>
        <permission roles="*" type="deleteNonDurableQueue"/>
        <permission roles="*" type="consume"/>
        <permission roles="amq_admin" type="send"/>
        <permission roles="amq_admin" type="createAddress"/>
        <permission roles="amq_admin" type="deleteAddress"/>
        <permission roles="amq_admin" type="browse"/>
        <permission roles="amq_admin" type="manage"/>
      </security-setting>

Within our setup we basically have one user per app which is currently around 300, each of these are already assigned to up to a few roles so hopefully a role wild card is allow or there is some other option than creating a generic role with 300+ users a member of?
