clarification on how tier pricing works for multiple pricing rules in 3scale

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

  • “Volume drivers: are applied at the level of the global hits metric, or for individual methods under hits. Multiple pricing rules can be applied to any metric. Note that the hits calculation is cumulated over a one-month billing cycle.” per Provisioning Paid Plans
  • If an application plan using global hits to have multiple tiers, using the attached table to simulate a plan, would a vendor that calls us 10,001 times in a month be charged a.) $500 or b.) $600 ($100 for the first 10,000 and $500 for the 1 hit)?
    Tier From To Monthly Fee
    1 0 10,000 $100.00
    2 10,001 100,000 $500.00
