Is it possible to connect to multiple Spice consoles simultaneously in the RHEV Admin Portal?

Environment

Issue

  • In the RHEV Admin Portal, is it possible to connect to multiple Spice consoles at the same time?

Resolution

At the time of this writing, it is not possible to connect to multiple Spice consoles simultaneously. However, a Request for Feature Enhancement (RFE) has been filed and is being tracked in a private Red Hat Bug#877555. It is expected to be resolved in an upcoming release. If there are additional questions about this RFE, please contact Red Hat Support.

Diagnostic Steps

  1. Log in to the Admin Portal.
  2. CTRL + click multiple VMs (or SHIFT + click).
  3. Attempt to connect to the Spice consoles by clicking the green "Console" button.
  4. The "Console" button is either grayed out or clicking it only results in a single Spice console.
