CPU usage increases with change in timezone from CST to PST on server
Issue
- we have set the property "-Duser.timezone" on the JVM and conducted a performance test. The test revealed 1.5-2 times increase in the CPU utilization.
Could you please explain the impact of using this property? Will there be a performance affect as revealed by our tests? How does the property internally calculate the time zone while setting it to PST?
Environment
