Timestamp of '/usr/lib/xulrunner-2' is updated if prelink is run in normal mode
Issue
- According to the customer, the timestamp of '/usr/lib/xulrunner-2' is updated every about two weeks although files under the directory are not updated.
- We confirmed that the timestamp of '/usr/lib/xulrunner-2' was updated if prelink was run in normal mode (without -q option) instead of quick mode. It may be expected behavior, but we do not know why it works like that.
- Customer wants to know followings regarding this behavior. Could you please answer those?
- Why is the timestamp of '/usr/lib/xulrunner-2' updated if prelink is run in normal mode?
- Is there any workaround to stop updating the timestamp of '/usr/lib/xulrunner-2'?
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.8
- prelink-0.4.0-2.el5.x86_64
- xulrunner-10.0.6-2.el5_8.x86_64
