How can I run virt-top as non-privilege user
Issue
- When I login as non-privilege user, and execute virt-top , it fails with following message:
libvir: RPC error : Failed to connect socket to '@/home/<USER_NAME>/.libvirt/libvirt-sock': Connection refused
libvirt: VIR_ERR_SYSTEM_ERROR: VIR_FROM_RPC: Failed to connect socket to '@/home/<USERNAME>/.libvirt/libvirt-sock': Connection refused
NB: If you want to monitor a local hypervisor, you usually need to be root
How can I see status of VM by virt-top as non-privilege user ?
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- virt-top
