rhel6: kdump fails due to a hang after kernel panic at the system kernel
Issue
kdump failed due to deadlock with mm->page_table_lock after kernel panic at the system kernel. This issue occurs on every RHEL6 kernel but not on RHEL7 or upstream
kernel.
When this issue occurs:
- there is no characteristic message indicating this issue occuring, and
- there is no boot messages by the kdump kernel, your system appearing to hang.
This issue is likely to occur under high memory pressure.

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6, minor releases below 10
- kdump
