CUPS "Get-Printers" logging to /var/log/cups/access_log in RHEL

Issue

CUPS is running some routine called "Get-Printers", "Get-Classes", and "Get_Default" every second for two minutes every 15 minutes:

localhost - - [07/Jan/2013:15:00:18 -0500] "POST / HTTP/1.1" 200 414 CUPS-Get-Printers successful-ok
localhost - - [07/Jan/2013:15:00:19 -0500] "POST / HTTP/1.1" 200 416 CUPS-Get-Printers successful-ok

The "Get-functions" noted above will run for two-three minutes and log every second; and then after running for two-three minutes, it will stop for exaclty 15 minutes and then start up again for another 2-3 minutes.

This has over time used much CPU time and cpu resource while also attributing to a huge access_log in a very short period of time.
