Versioning support by jBPM 5 Engine
Issue
How does jBPM engine support process model and rule versioning and version update. Can we run multiple version at the same time? For example, at the production environment, I may have a process running and is not completed yet, but we need to update the process model with fix or enhancement--> a new deployment is needed. Under this case, we update the jar file or Guvnor JCR repository with the process model, how does it work?
- Is the previous version of process model removed?
- The pre-existing running process should still be working fine with the old version?
- Does jBPM support running multiple versions at the same time? How does it work for asset in the jar file and asset in Guvnor JCR repository
- If #3 is not supported, what is the best practice for process model upgrade/update to migrate the previous running version to new version?
- What is the versioning support for jBPM 5 REST API and in business-central ?
- How is the guvnor version attribute and bpm2 version attribute connected ?
