Does the CUPS service restart when I add, remove, or modify a printer in RHEL

Issue

• When I add a printer in the CUPS environment, does the system restart the spooler (scheduler)? I am trying to confirm if adding, modifying or removing a printer in our RHEL system will not affect the print spooler and print jobs currently in progress will not restart at first page.
