How to set up a custom SSLSocketFactory to be used on the client side for EJB 2.x on JBoss EAP?

- Is there any JBoss or J2EE API that would be accessible from a stand-alone Java program that is acting as a remote EJB v2.x client, which would allow an SSLSocketFactory to be set?
- Is there something that would allow an SSLSocketFactory class name to be given?
