Unable to print to stderr via ssh or sftp on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4 and 5.5
Issue
- sftp connections fail if .bashrc outputs to stderr on RHEL 5.4
- If any login scripts (eg. ~/.bashrc) run commands that attempt to access stderr, the sftp connection will be closed immediately after entering the password.
