nfs-mountd.service fails to start when exporting an RBD device with SELinux set to Enforcing in Red Hat Ceph Storage 2.0

Issue

  • When a client attempts to mount an RBD device shared with NFS via NFSv3 the following messages are seen on the NFS server:
Dec  2 17:57:25 ceph-admin-01 rpc.mountd[155606]: authenticated mount request from 172.20.0.10:616 for /storage/ceph/rstore/user/testuser2/default (/storage/ceph/rstore/user/testuser2/default)
Dec  2 17:57:25 ceph-admin-01 setroubleshoot: SELinux is preventing /usr/sbin/rpc.mountd from read access on the blk_file rbd1. For complete SELinux messages. run sealert -l 005961f1-ead1-4d9a-b6d6-a9f20788a80d
