Unable to change permissions of world writeable files under tmp on Red Hat Satellite 5.7
Issue
- Security scan identified the following world writeable files.
# ls -la /tmp/.com_ibm_tools_attach/
total 8
drwxrwxrwt. 2 root root 4096 Oct 31 19:48 .
drwxrwxrwt. 11 root root 4096 Oct 31 19:48 ..
-rw-rw-rw-. 1 tomcat tomcat 0 Oct 31 19:48 _attachlock
-rw-rw-rw-. 1 tomcat tomcat 0 Oct 31 19:48 _master
-rw-rw-rw-. 1 tomcat tomcat 0 Oct 31 19:48 _notifier
Changing permissions and restarting rhn-satellite service reverts the permission to world writeable.
Is there a way to configure tomcat so that these files are created with permissions 660 or less?
