[Satellite6] Content View created in Sat6.1 being deleted in Sat6.2 leaves orphaned data in /var/lib/pulp

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Created some Content View in Satellite6.1
  • Upgraded to Satellite 6.2
  • Deleted the Content View
  • Clean orphaned content via weekly cron job / via manual running of the command foreman-rake katello:delete_orphaned_content RAILS_ENV=production
  • But /var/lib/pulp still having directories named according to the deleted Content View, in particular within these three directories:
    • /var/lib/pulp/working
    • /var/lib/pulp/content/yum_repo_metadata_file/
    • /var/lib/pulp/published/yum/master/

Environment

  • Red Hat Satellite 6
    • upgraded from 6.1 to 6.2
