Why does the gluster snapshot create fails with "rebalance process is running for the volume" error even though there is no rebalance process running?

Issue

  • gluster snapshot create command fails with below error, though the gluster volume rebalance status shows no running session.

    snapshot create: failed: rebalance process is running for the volume <volname>
