Issue

  • sar -d command is able to display all devices. But while running sar -dp command, some EMC device names are not displayed.

    For example:

    $ sar -d  | grep "dev120-400
    output:
    12:01:01 AM dev120-400     44.73      4.78    161.40      3.71      0.01      0.13      0.13      0.58
    12:02:01 AM dev120-400     42.03      0.40    136.11      3.25      0.00      0.12      0.11      0.48
    12:03:01 AM dev120-400     39.62      5.06    137.99      3.61      0.01      0.13      0.12      0.49
    12:04:01 AM dev120-400     44.62      2.66    167.97      3.82      0.01      0.14      0.13      0.60
    12:05:01 AM dev120-400     49.70      4.91    187.83      3.88      0.01      0.12      0.12      0.59
    12:06:02 AM dev120-400     59.62      0.40    226.84      3.81      0.01      0.13      0.12      0.74

    According to ls -l /dev/ output:

    120:400 -> ../emcpowerz

    But the sar -dp command does not show above device in its output:

    $ sar -dp | grep emcpowerz
    No output.
