When adding the RHEL5 anaconda boot parameter method=, do I also have to set the harddrive option in the kickstart configuration?

Issue

We use a USB pen drive for the installation of our server. In most of the cases the devices is available as sdc, but sometimes it is sdd. We use the anaconda boot option method= to provide the information of the installation image.

I have added the following to grub.conf. Directory /RHEL5-iso contain the rhel.5.8.iso image.

method=hd:sdc1:/RHEL5-iso

At the moment we have the same information in the kickstart file:

harddrive --partition=sdc1 --dir=/RHEL5-iso

This work, but is this information required in both locations as is sees they do the same?
