Cannot log in the system as user accounts with GDM error message: "Your last session only lasted for less than 10 seconds".

Issue

  • Why I get the following error message when I try to log in the system with user accounts?
    Your last session only lasted for less than 10 seconds. If you have not 
logged out yourself, this could mean that there is some installation problem 
or that you may be out of diskspace. Try logging in with one of the failsafe 
sessions to see if you can fix this problem.
  • I can successfully log in the system as root account though, and there are plenty of free spaces on my system.
