How can I have a truly stateless request with no HTTP session creation?

Issue

• We want to add a very simple page which can be called by internal load balancer to get 'health' information regarding the application. This page ONLY gets information from APPLICATION-scoped beans and does not require an HTTP session. In fact we want to disable HTTP session creation as the page is likely to be submitted very regularly and the load balancer does not cache sessions.
