controld resource fails to start with "'not installed' (5)" error when using with stonith_enabled=false in a RHEL 7 High Availability cluster

Issue

  • We're trying to create a controld resource, but it keeps failing with "not installed"
  • dlm_controld won't start in my cluster with error 5
Failed Actions:

    last-rc-change='Tue Sep 13 14:17:24 2016', queued=0ms, exec=278ms
* dlm_start_0 on node2 'not installed' (5): call=22, status=complete, exitreason='none',
    last-rc-change='Tue Sep 13 14:17:23 2016', queued=0ms, exec=58ms

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7 with the High Availability Add-On
  • One or more controld resources in the cluster CIB
  • Cluster property stonith-enabled=false
