kdump fails to save a vmcore file to a specified device
Issue
- A user specified a dump device by
<fs type> <partition>option in/etc/kdump.confas follows:
ext3 /dev/sda5 - When using a server with a USB storage device attached, the device name of HDD after booting 2nd kernel on kdump is different from 1st kernel's name.
- As a result,
kdumpdoes not work as expected.
