Unhandled exception when configuring Red Hat Network Proxy server

Issue

  • attempting to install RHN Proxy with /usr/sbin/configure-proxy.sh and getting some errors

  • when specifiying the "RHN Parent" and "CA Chain" values:

    ERROR: unknown exception: (no element found: line 1, column 0), (<xml.parsers.expat.ExpatError instance at 0x2adbafccad40>)

  • after specifying the SSL build information:

    There was a problem activating the RHN Proxy entitlement:
WARNING: upon deactivation attempt: unknown error - <Fault -1: 'redstone.xmlrpc.XmlRpcFault: unhandled internal exception: null'>
Proxy activation failed! Installation interrupted.
