Why does netstat show a duplicate connection with no PID?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Why does netstat show a duplicate connection with no PID?
  • Who owns the socket with process name - which is a duplicate of an existing userspace socket?

For example:

tcp    0      0    10.0.0.131:57460    10.0.0.73:80    ESTABLISHED    24265/java     off (0.00/0/0)
tcp    0    111    10.0.0.131:57460    10.0.0.73:80    ESTABLISHED    -              on (0.19/0/0)
tcp    0    577    ::ffff:10.0.0.4:443    ::ffff:10.0.0.23:34671    FIN_WAIT1    6180/httpd
tcp    0    577    ::ffff:10.0.0.4:443    ::ffff:10.0.0.23:34671    FIN_WAIT1    -
