Can we migrate JBoss by copying JBoss installation directory to different environment ?

Issue

We have three environments, Development, Homologation and Production. The Client want implement a practice that is not common to implement the environment. Below, the description of the practice:

  • Create the environment in a Server on other machine.
    • Copy the JBOSS_HOME to Development.
    • Copy the JBOSS_HOME to QA.
    • Copy the JBOSS_HOME to Production.

Can this generate problems?

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform
    • 6.4.0
