Client loses authentication on NAC enabled infrastructure

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

After a while, a NAC client is blocked by infrastructure. The NAC infrastructure denies network communication to the client, because it is not well authorized.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6
  • NAC (network access control) enabled network infrastructure
  • wpa_supplicant with 802.1x EAP-TLS authentication
