How to pass WS request inputs to a MetaMatrix XML response doc that doesn't include them in the response?

Issue

• We are doing top-down design of a web service based on pre-defined XSDs. The request doc has inputs, e.g. FirstName, LastName, DateOfBirth. Simplifying the situation a bit, the response document does not contain these elements in the response.

• Our dilemma is how we can pass down these inputs to the response doc. The web service model can assign request inputs to elements in the response doc. But the response doc doesn't model these elements, so there's nothing to assign inputs to.
