Using vgrename on VG containing root LV fails with "Volume group RootVG still has active LVs"
Issue
- Attempting to vgrename the volume group containing root fails with "Volume group XXX still has active LVs"
- How to rename root VG.
- After cloning VMware OS guest server2 from server1; it shows:
Found volume group "vg_server1" using metadata type lvm2.
It should be saying "vg_server2"
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Active root logical volume group
