Source query from MetaMatrix results in poor performance due to timestamp criteria being compared to Oracle DATE

Issue

  • Query takes too long to execute
  • Indexes are not being used when using date criteria:
    SELECT * FROM MyTable WHERE DateColumn = {d'2000-01-01'}
  • A full table scan is done even when passing date/time criteria to limit results

Environment

  • MetaMatrix Server 5.5.3
  • Oracle 9i, 10i, 11g
  • MetaMatrix Oracle JDBC Driver for 5.5.3
  • Source model with date column modelled as MetaMatrix timestamp
  • Oracle table with date column of type Oracle DATE
