[RHEL5] Kdump Hangs on CCISS Module.

Issue

  • Kdump hangs on CCISS module loading on RHEL 5.8 - HP Proliant DL380 G6 using Smartarray 410i
  • Is cciss module compatible with kexec-tools?
  • Kdump works properly with others models of HP Proliant, but don't work with this hardware.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 - All Releases
  • HP Proliant DL380 G6
  • BIOS version P62
  • kmod-cciss-rhel5-3.6.28-20
    • cciss0: HP Smart Array P410i Controller
    • Board ID: 0x3245103c
    • Firmware Version: 5.70
