Issue

  • When trying to register a machine with with Red Hat Subscription Management, the "subscription-manager" command returns "wrong version number".
# subscription-manager register --username=redhatuser --password=redhatpassword 
wrong version number

Environment

  • Red Hat Subscription Manager (RHSM)
  • HTTP Proxy configured in rhsm.conf
