Storage errors in /var/log/messages "kernel: SCSI error : <0 0 1 24> return code = 0x70000"
Issue
- Customer trying to mount a file system coming from SAN and its failing. Following error messages are seen in /var/log/messages
kernel: SCSI error : <0 0 1 24> return code = 0x70000
kernel: end_request: I/O error, dev sdae, sector 106832104
- Also, "multipath -ll" command hang without giving any outputs.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 9)
- device-mapper-multipath-0.4.5-42.el4-x86_64
