Installed Apache HTTPD as a Windows service does not start after throwing error "incorrect function"

  • After installing Apache HTTPD server as a Windows service in Windows server 2008 R2 Enterprise environment , when user tries to start the service it throws error The ApacheXXX service terminated with service-specific error incorrect function
