Why my system submits multiple authentication requests while unlocking the system?

Issue

  • Kscreensaver submits multiple authentication requests.
  • User gets locked when try to unlock the system.
  • Multiple Authentications are required to all the screens and authentication failed errors are recorded in /var/log/messages

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
  • KDE Desktop Environment
  • Multiple monitors connected
