Troubleshooting JNDI Issues in JBoss EAP 5 / 4

Issue

  • We have an mbean binding an object into JNDI, but our lookup is not working
InitialContext initialContext = new InitialContext();
Session session = (Session) initialContext.lookup(“MyMailSession”);

// Also tried
(Session) initialContext.lookup(“java:/MyMailSession”);
  • I'm getting NameNotFoundException, how can I diagnose this?
java.lang.Exception: Cannot lookup java:/JBossCorbaORB: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: JBossCorbaORB not bound
