Issue

When booting a RHEL5 system connected to EMC Invista storage, the system will hang if the Invista is not presenting any storage LUNs but the system can still see the SAN.

Environment

Red Hat Enterprise Linux and EMC Invista SAN. This issue may also be seen with any SAN which does not have a built-in entry in the multipath hwtable and presents a fake management LUN when it is not presenting storage to the system.
