Cannot migrate virtual guest due to pending live disk migration task

Issue

  • We have a task that has been running for the past few days:
Removing Disks from Snapshot(s) Auto-generated for Live Storage Migration of VM <vm1>   
Removing Disks from Snapshot(s) Auto-generated for Live Storage Migration of VM <vm2>
  • When we try to migrate the virtual guest to another host, it fails with an error relating to pending tasks:
Cannot migrate VM. Disk <disk_label> is being moved or copied.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2 (RHEV hypervisor)
