JBoss ON agent can not communicate with JBoss ON Server 3.3 after changing the agent IP Address

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (JON) 3.3.x

Issue

  • How to change the Agent IP Address;
  • After changing the network segment of servers monitored by JON, the agents have been reconfigured. However the agent is unstable, this is falling and when trying to start it, this taking the old IP.

Resolution

If you need to change only the Agent IP Address, you can just set a new value for the rhq.communications.connector.bind-address property by following the steps described in Changing the Agent IP Address.
