How would ActiveMQ Blob messages work within a Camel application

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss A-MQ 6.1.0

Issue

  • Please comment on how BLOB messages would work from within a Camel application.

Resolution

PFA an example of using blob message with camel (example-blob-camel.zip).

  1. If testing it in jboss amq 6.1.0, the following features need to be installed:

    • features:install spring-jms
    • features:chooseurl activemq 5.9.0.redhat-610379
    • features:install activemq-camel

  2. When dropping large files, the best approach is to write/copy to another folder and after the write/copy completed move the file in the drop folder. 1
