Satellite 5.4.1/5.5 on s390x - spacewalk-dump-schema fails with error ORA-24334

Issue

  • When running spacewalk-dump-schema as part of Satellite 5 upgrade (step 1 in doc/satellite-and-os-upgrade-postgresql.txt), on a s390x machine running Satellite 5.4.1/5.5 with Embedded Oracle database, the following error occurs:
DBD::Oracle::db prepare failed: ORA-24334: no descriptor for this position (DBD ERROR: OCIParamGet) [for Statement "select * from rhnpackageevr"] at ./spacewalk-dump-schema line 369.

Environment

  • Red Hat Satellite 5.4.1 and 5.5 on a s390x machine with Embedded Oracle database, upgrading to newer version of Satellite 5
