engine-psql.sh script is missing in fresh installation of Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager 3.6
Environment
Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager (RHEV-M) 3.6
Issue
I cannot find scripts /usr/share/ovirt-engine/dbscripts/engine-psql.sh on a fresh RHEV-M 3.6 installation, there is no such file.
Resolution
-
Please update to RHEV-M 3.6.5, where the script is included again.
-
In case you are not able to update right away, you can click here to download the script.
Root Cause
Starting RHEV 3.6 support of package redhat-support-plugin-rhev has been discontinued due to security reasons and this package is not a part of RHEV-M 3.6 installation. Script /usr/share/ovirt-engine/dbscripts/engine-psql.sh was provided by redhat-support-plugin-rhev and is currently missing since the package in question in not shipped with RHEV-M 3.6.
There was a bug opened to address this issue: private Red Hat Bugzila #1321579 which is already fixed.
Diagnostic Steps
Check if the package providing the script is installed :
# rpm -qa | grep redhat-support-plugin-rhev
