Fuse does not support RFC5424 for writing to syslog daemon
Issue
JBoss Fuse 6.1 and 6.2 have access to the standard log appenders of log4j version 1.x, include SyslogAppender. However, this version of the appender complies broadly with RFC3164, which is not a standard, but an observation of how the common syslogd typically behaves. RFC5424 defines a more modern protocol for a system logging daemon, including support for encrypted communication. However, there is no support for it in Fuse at present.
